click here Thanks for your interest. But first things first. We will be using the competition to select the owners for each category and breed who look the most like their dog. The judges will be the team of writers, photographers, and editors creating the book, which will include approximately 100 winning entries. We will be paying all winners selected to be in the book as follows: We will be interviewing all winners for the book about your dog, the experiences you have had together, and why you chose this particular dog, etc. We might use the photographs you send us – or we may have our own photographer take the pictures for the book – or maybe both. We are also working on arranging for extra prizes from our sponsors, such as products for dogs, books, tickets to dog shows, trips, etc. We don't know what these prizes are now, but we'll announce them as we line up sponsors and awards and schedule different events. We also hope to set up other opportunities in which entrants can participate, such as appearances on major TV and radio shows, and interviews with newspapers and magazines. Also, there may be a chances for additional exposure (calendars, on posters, cards, etc.), for which there may be additional payments. You agree that if you and your dog are selected: We can't return any photos, so please don't send us any originals. Small snapshots which show you with your dog are fine, since we are making our decision based on how much you look like your dog – not based on the photos. But if you want us to consider using your photos in the book too, you can send us as many as you want. Just include copyright releases for all photos. Photos can range from home pictures to art photos, as long as they show you and your dog together – and show how much you look alike!

We will also make arrangements about prizes and payments at this time. And we'll keep you on our e-mail (entrants@doyoulooklikeyourdog.com) or regular mail list to send information on dogs that might be of interest to you. We're inviting you to join our "Do You Look Like Your Dog" Competition as a way to showcase your dog in a competition and be considered for our book of the same name. This competition will be a springboard to other possibilities including: festivals, dog show appearances, calendars, posters, and more.
The competition – and our book – is divided into 8 major categories, featuring all the breeds in each group. These types include the following major breeds (and if we've forgotten any, add your dog to one of these 8 categories, which includes the 7 AKC breed categories, plus an extra category for other breeds, mixed breeds, and mutts. There will be awards for all winners and as we line up our sponsors, extras for entrants too.). While sponsors are still being finalized, plans currently include awards for both entrants and winners.
