Now that the First
International Do You Look Like Your Dog contest winners
will be announced in January, when the book by Broadway Books/Random House is
published, a growing number of sponsors have signed on to donate prizes to the
winners and entrants.
One of the most unique
prizes is a massage for one of the winners, offered by Barbara Lytle, a
professional massage therapist, who commonly goes to company offices to massage stressed out executives. But now she’ll use her techniques on some
lucky dog in the contest.
Other prizes
include a customized dog coat, a dog travel home, a dog bed, a dog phone, books
about dogs, and a picture in Animal Fair Magazine,
along with subscriptions to the finalists.
The pictures of the growing list of prizes are featured on the Do You
Look Like Your Dog Web site at the “Bark and Buy”
link. The prizes will be awarded at a
gala celebration to announce the winners.
A panel of judges from the dog world and the media will decide the
winners, and their names will be announced shortly.
